Student organizations at Sioux Falls

Students have opportunities to learn more about their chosen fields through campus organizations such as those listed below:

  • SCNAVTA (Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians). This organization conducts fund-raisers for animal shelters and local animal protection organizations.
  • DEX (the student organization of DECCA, an international business organization). This group provides students with opportunities for competition, networking and charitable work. Students undertake activities such as raising money for school supplies for area children and collecting appropriate job interview clothing for low-income women. They also visit area business organizations to learn about different industries.
  • Legal Club (for paralegal and criminal justice students). This group gives students an opportunity to hone their presentation skills by leading discussions on current topics. It also holds social events that include students from other programs.

Start a new organization with our help

Students can also become involved in groups that focus on information technology and health science. They can join organizations that reach out to the Sioux Falls community, such as Student Ambassadors. And if a student sees a need that is not being met by an existing group, he or she is welcome to consult with student services staff about starting a new organization.

Campus events open to all

Events sponsored by student organizations at our Sioux Falls campus are advertised weekly on campus bulletin boards and through campus-wide e-mail announcements. You don’t have to be in a particular program to participate in campus-wide events.
