Heidi Weber, CMA (AAMA)

Sioux Falls facultyHeidi has practiced as a CMA (AAMA)/RMA for 17 years in 5 different medical specialties and is the Medical Assisting Program Chair at Globe University in Sioux Falls. She has played piano since she was 5 yrs old. Heidi has also broken 17 bones playing sports! She loves to hike, motorcycle, ski, snowmobile, and camp in the mountains. She also enjoys travelling and would like to go to Spain or Mexico again soon. Heidi is the current Vice President of the South Dakota Society of Medical Assistants, and is passionate about her career and the healthcare field. She loves people, meeting new personalities, and learning from every experience.

 

 

 

 
Kim Sieverding, CVT
Sioux Falls facultyKim was born and raised on a farm. She graduated from NAU as a Veterinary Technician and has been in the veterinary technology field for 20 years. She is married with a son. She has cows, horses, dogs, cats and fish. Some of her hobbies include riding and showing horses, playing volleyball and basketball and swimming. In the summer she enjoys gardening. Her free time is usually spent doing something with her family. Kim is super caring and easy to get along with – she loves to see people succeed! One of her favorite motivational sayings is "If you are searching for the key to success - look inside yourself".

 

 

Heather Singleterry, CVT
Sioux Falls faculty
Heather graduated in 2001 from Brandon Valley High School and in 2003 graduated in from Colby Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. Heather has been married for 4 years. She has a 3 year old son and a 1 year old daughter. In her spare time she likes to bake and ride horses. She loves to attend rodeos with her family (her husband is an ex-bull rider!) and visit the zoo.

 

 

 Dr. Jim Hanson, DVMSioux Falls Faculty

Jim was born in Sioux Falls, SD. and raised on a small farm near Adrian, MN. He graduated from Southwest State University in 1989 with a BA in Biology and a BS in Chemistry. He then moved to St. Paul, MN.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. He worked at a group practice for three years, and then started his own practice. He was in private mixed animal practice until 2005 when he moved to Sioux Falls, SD.

He now is Resident Veterinarian and Veterinary Technician Program Director at Globe University, Sioux Falls, SD Campus.
Jim has a wife and a three year old daughter. Jim has a passion for food science and cooking. The family also enjoys gardening and outdoor life.

 

 Angela Geraets Angie Garaets-Sioux Falls

Angie graduated from Stewart’s School of Massage Therapy in Sioux Falls in 1999.  She has been giving massages for the past eleven years.  Angie has been an instructor for five years.  She has four children; Dylan, McKenna, Jayda and Issak.  In her spare time she likes to watch her kids play hockey for the Brookings Rangers and many other sports that her kids are in.  Angie is very active playing co-ed softball and keeping up with her children.  Angie has a business in Brookings doing Massage Therapy.  She is also getting her B.S. in Criminal Justice.  Feel free to call Angie at anytime
